In December 2015, I’m A Star teens visited Washington, D.C. and met with 19th U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy to pitch their call-to-action plan for teens, by teens, addressing childhood obesity. Impressed with the proposal, Dr. Murthy joined the students in Jacksonville for a Breakfast With Champions, Student Townhall Meeting with 1000+ students, and a 1-1⁄2 mile walk to end Childhood Obesity. #FitOverFatUSA has four steps:

1. ChooseFoodWisely
2. GetActive
3. BeEmpowered
4. StressLess

Teens post to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat with hashtag #FitOverFatUSA.
